Once upon a time, in the far away Kingdom of Maine, there was indeed a Bard, revered by all the Kingdom’s people. Talented and fabled was she, such that her fingers danced ‘cross the strings of her instruments and caused instant joy and delight to all the people for whom she played.  But she was far too skilled, and drew the jealousy of the King’s bards and minstrels, who then did hatch a sinister plot.  They aimed to have her exiled from Maine and raise their own miserable reputations all at once.  Through rumor-mongering, it was spread that her talents were borne of GoblinCraft, rather than genuine practice.  As the gossip became widely disseminated, the Bard made powerful enemies who began an enterprise that left the Bard bereft her usual fandom; they even outlawed her most popular tunes.  And so it was she became a drifter outside the laws and ordinary order of the kingdom…
